Great! So now that we have determined that Sonia is not in immediate danger of suicide ideation, what is the next step? Take a look at the algorithm and determine what you would recommend.

A) Sonia is at high risk for developing mental health disorders during antiviral therapy and should be required to undergo treatment with a mental health professional prior to interferon therapy.

B) Since Sonia is at risk for developing depression or other mood disorders during antiviral therapy, we should talk to her about the option of seeing a mental health professional and/or taking antidepressants prior to starting hepatitis C treatment.
