Vivian: Good. Let's start by asking a few questions about your mood. Use commonly understood terms like "sad" or "blue". During the last few months, Ask for recall over short to medium time periods. how would you describe your mood? Use open-ended questions ("how would you describe your mood?").

Sonia: I don't know, I'm fine.

Vivian: For example, Be ready to give some guidance ("for instance, are you generally.?"). are you generally in good spirits or do you often feel sad? Use commonly understood terms like "sad" or "blue".

Sonia:
Well, I think I'm pretty happy. I like my job, I'm a court stenographer, and I enjoy gardening in my yard. Most of the time, I'm pretty happy by myself gardening and taking hikes in the woods.

Vivian: That sounds lovely. You must live out in the country.

Sonia: Yes, I live about 50 miles away in a small home right by the woods.
