Course Learning Objective
After completing this course, you will be confident in both your knowledge and the performance support tools necessary to managing depression in patients being treated for hepatitis C.

In this course, you will develop strong skills in interviewing, screening, and observing patients that will help you evaluate mental depression. You will also learn how to manage both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.

Content Overview
Evaluation and Assessment of Depression:
  •  Interviewing the Patient
  •  Administering the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI)
  •  Managing Suicide Risk
Clinical Management of Depression:
  •  Antidepressant Medication (Disclaimer: Medications may be restricted or non-formulary at different sites. Please check with your local pharmacist if you have questions regarding medication use.)
  •  Patient Education
  •  Prescription & Follow-up
