Learning Activities
To ensure that your knowledge can be applied to clinical practice, this course is presented as a case study that will engage you in the management of depression in two hypothetical, yet realistic, hepatitis C patients.

You will participate in the following activities in this order:

Patient 1
Observer: You will observe Nurse Practitioner Vivian assess and treat mental health depression, be assigned appropriate reading materials, and then asked to answer questions that require you to apply those readings.

Patient 2
Apprentice: You will assist Vivian in managing mental health problems, be asked to make suggestions about next steps, and then receive feedback from Vivian.

Assessment
Test: A course test allows you to check your understanding prior to taking the EES examination. You can take this test as many times as desired in order to help you build knowledge.

Final EES Examination: You will take this final test in order to achieve course credit.
