Before you begin, here is what you need to know about the navigation,
tools, site information, and links and icons that you will find throughout
the course.
Navigation
To progress through this course, use the "Previous" and "Next"
buttons in the upper right-hand corner. Also in this corner is a display
that tells you what page of the current section you are on and how many
pages there are in that section. When you reach the bottom of a page,
you can click on "Top" to return to the top of the page. If
you get lost or confused at any time, click on the "Home" link
in the top menu bar to return to the beginning of the course.
Tools
Also in the top menu bar are links to the course Brochure, Resources,
and the EES website. Under "Resources", you can access the Binder,
Handouts, Algorithm, and Supplemental Reading sections at any time. While
you are treating the first patient, Vivian will assign you readings from
all of these resources, but you can always access them as needed by using
the top menu bar.
Site Information
At the bottom of each page are links that take you to VA's pages concerning
the Disclaimer, Accessibility, and Privacy & Security of this web
course, as well as email links for the course's Webmaster and Content
Contact.
Links and Icons
Throughout this course you will find certain words or phrases that are
underlined. This underline indicates that the word or phrase is a link
that will take you to a new page. Remember that you can use the "Previous"
button to go back to the last page you viewed. If the link is to an outside
source, a new browser window will open so that you can always keep your
place in the course.
