Consider antidepressant treatment prior to antiviral treatment
You should consider treating the patient with antidepressants if mental health services are not readily accessible or if you are referring/consulting for the following:

Current depressive disorder (as demonstrated by)

•  BDI>18
•  Meets DSM-IV criteria for major depression
•  Currently receiving treatment for depression
