Vivian: I wouldn't be too concerned that the medication hasn't helped yet. As I said last time, it can take a few weeks before you really feel its full effects. How have you felt otherwise?

William: Sometimes I feel a little tired and sick to my stomach, but it's not bad.

Vivian: Okay, that's good. Since you are tolerating the medication pretty well and since you are feeling more depressed, I am going to increase your dosage a little more. Here is a prescription for a slightly higher dose. It should help the medication work a little more quickly.

Vivian: Also keep up other types of support, such as talking with your support group. If you ever decide that you want to see a therapist, we can make a referral for you.

William: No, the support group has been really helpful. I'd rather talk with other people going through the same thing. It helps me remember that this is something we are all going through.
